Liberty Bank Minnesota began in Downtown St. Cloud in the 1930’s. The same family owners founded Jack Frost at the same time. Eventually Jack Frost became Gold n’ Plump poultry and today is not affiliated with the bank. Liberty remains a family owned company. In fact we are the oldest remaining bank name in three communities: Monticello, Waite Park and St. Cloud. We have been in Monticello for over 30 years.
Liberty is a retail focused bank. We like to say we make loans for “any worthwhile purpose” and provide a large array of deposit products. Liberty is a leading home loan provider in the market. In fact over the last 20 years, Liberty has provided over $ 4 Billion in home loans, all right here in the center of Minnesota. We have many Customers in Big Lake as well as Monticello and Becker.
Liberty is well known for it’s philanthropy and community support. This past year we donated a building valued at $ 1.4 Million for a Children’s Museum in Downtown St. Cloud which will serve all of Central Minnesota. In 2019 we made several large donations to Big Lake organizations as part of our 30th Anniversary Grants program. In 2020 we are a sponsor of the Big Lake Music in the Park series as well as the Big Lion Lions Fishing Tournament on February 22nd. We look forward to supporting the Big Lake Community.
