Session Priorities is the Minnesota Chamber’s biggest and highest-profile event of the year. It is the unofficial kickoff of the legislative session, bringing together the governor, bipartisan legislative leaders and a sellout crowd of nearly 2,000 elected officials and business leaders from throughout Minnesota.

Big Lake Chamber has 4 seats available but registrations at $150 each must occur by Dec 5th!  General admission seats are sold out!

Come hear a preview of the legislative session from those who set the agenda, hear the Chamber’s legislative priorities and network with influencers in the policy arena. Below is the agenda for the evening: 

3:00 – 4:00 p.m.Chamber 101 (Optional) Whether you have been a Chamber member for five minutes or 15 years, Chamber 101 is your opportunity to learn how to get the most out of your membership. Chamber President Doug Loon and senior staff will highlight ways to grow your expertise, your network and your business through our programs and services, and how to make your voice heard at the Capitol. 

4:00-5:00 pm Issue Briefing: Conversation with the Commissioners. Minnesota just elected a new governor for the first time in nearly a decade. With this new leadership comes new administration officials. Come meet some of these key officials in person and hear how they will work with the business community to grow Minnesota’s economy for the long term. 

5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Reception 

6:45 – 7:05 p.m.Opening Program: Senate and House Leadership How will the new legislative makeup in St. Paul affect Minnesota’s economy? Leaders from the Minnesota Senate and House of Representatives will discuss their agendas and answer key questions about policy priorities from the business community. 

7:05 – 8:00 p.m. Dinner 8:00 – 8:45 p.m.Chamber Priorities and Interview with the governor. Governor Tim Walz will address Chamber members for the first time as governor and present his administration’s priorities (invited).
